# drip.tools developer docs

> Drip Tools (https://drip.tools) swaps real mainnet tokens for testnet funds — one way only. A swap is four steps against the public REST API at https://drip.tools/api (JSON over HTTPS, no auth): discover chains with GET /api/chains, get a backend-signed quote from POST /api/quote, make one payment on the FROM chain that carries the quoteId (a call to the depository contract on an EVM mainnet, or a transfer with the quoteId as memo / comment on Solana and TON), then track one order per recipient with GET /api/order until each is completed.

Every link below is the Markdown version of a page; the same URL without `.md` is the HTML page. Amounts in quotes are base-unit integer strings, and a payment must match its quote exactly (same payer, same token, exactly `fromTotal`, before `deadline`) or it does not become an order.
